  • Companies are planning to increase their budgets — A recent study found that about 32% of marketers say they increased their budgets this year, and 53% plan for larger budgets in 2010.
  • Online and direct mail both experiencing increases — The same study found that 65.7% of marketers plan to increase their spending online (website development, email marketing, search tools and social media).
  • Direct mail experiencing a rebound — 31.6% reported they plan to increase their direct mail spending. During the recession, as companies relied heavily on less expensive email marketing tools, use of email marketing skyrocketed. At the same time, with postal increases, many companies have cut back on direct mail. Perhaps 2010 is a good time for your direct mail piece to really stand out?
