Chocolate! I NEED chocolate!
We love candy in the office but chocolate holds a special place in our hearts.

Everyone around here (except maybe Shawn) is a sucker for the opportunity to get dressed up for a night on the town. So, we always look forward to caravanning to the Capitol City for the annual ADDY awards show, dressed in our after-Christmas-clearance best and dusted-off heels (except maybe for Shawn…who did look equally stunning and dust-free).
After all, when else do you get to dress up in your glittery finest and come home with as many medals as Michael Phelps?
Best of Show/Gold Award: Sales Promotion – Packaging Campaign
Buffalo Sweat Packaging, Tallgrass Brewing Company
[On a side note: One of the board members told us that after the judges (who were from Chicago and Dallas) judged the Buffalo Sweat packaging, they HAD to sample the product — so they sent someone on a beer run. Rumor has it that the judges decided the Manhattan-based stout lived up to its beautiful outside. So let’s hear it for the power of award-winning packaging!]

It’s Your Business. Play Smart. New Boston Creative Group
Pretty cool, huh? By the end of the evening, we were almost giddy with excitement (and by then, we really needed to pee). Turns out a few of our crew accidentally learned of the big news before the Best of Show announcement was made, but those sly dogs managed to keep it to themselves. Susan and I were quite impressed with their abilities to keep a secret. We’d never have been able to keep a straight face!
Congratulations to our wonderful team — your talents continually astound us. We’re so proud of all of you, and so grateful you choose to work at New Boston.
Also, thank you to everyone with AAFT for all your efforts to put together the event. The venue was fun, the host managed not to offend too many demographic groups, the food was pretty darn good, and the drinks…well, let’s just say the waitress did a great job keeping our glasses full. All in all, it was a great night, and we look forward to next year… now we’ve just got to figure out how to top ourselves!
Get on the horn or send an email. Singing telegrams are also welcome.
Receive tasty business tips and latest blog posts. No chain letters — we promise.
Kick your shoes off and stay awhile. You’re welcome to crash on the couch.
