2010 Vote! Kansas Primary Results

The votes are in and the Kansas Secretary of State’s campaign to increase advance voting participation has been declared a winner! (See my July 26 blog about this recent New Boston TV spot.) Watch the spot here.
The results for the August 3 primary:
- Compared to the presidential primary of 2008, advance voting increased from 17% of the total voter turnout to 21%.
- In the two weeks preceding the election, the voteks.org website received more than 20,000 hits.
- More than 5,000 people downloaded the form requesting an advance ballot.
- More than 400 people called the secretary of state’s 800 number to learn more.
Watch for this spot to run again statewide this October for the general election. If you aren’t registered to vote, now’s the time to do so!
