The longest-standing man at New Boston — having joined in June 2007 — Chris Ostrom is a gamma male surrounded by alpha females.
Hailing from Ellsworth, Mr. Ostrom earned a dual bachelor’s degree in English and philosophy, and a master’s in adult and continuing education with an emphasis in community educational development from Kansas State University. He was previously employed by an educational publishing company for 10 years, and has also worked as a private consultant.
A quiet devotee of hair metal, Mr. Ostrom finds solace in a touching power ballad and, when properly motivated, can produce uncanny clucking noises. His colleagues admire his writing, management and web savvy, but are bewildered by his pre-sunrise workouts. Mr. Ostrom boasts an illustrious history tending bar, making him both a dependable listener and quite useful at parties; however, he has yet to make the finals of Coyote Ugly.
