What We Did

The Kansas Press Association serves and promotes more than 235 community newspapers across the state. They came to us for a campaign that would remind people just how vital local newspapers are. Centered on — what else? — a newspaper ad campaign, we focused on the message that local papers forge bonds that keep communities going strong.

Campaign materials illustrated what the paper provides that you likely can’t find anywhere else — community election information, local ads and coupons, area birth announcements, up-to-date news specific to your community, and local job postings.

The campaign consisted of five different newspaper ads in a slew of sizes (for 180 total ads that Kansas newspapers can run whenever they have room), a newspaper rack card with the “Keep Reading” theme, complementary web ads, a radio spot, and a brand-new website that is quite a resource for KPA members.

What They Said

“We had a delightful experience working with the team at New Boston Creative. They were attentive, they listened to what we wanted to accomplish and then met and exceeded our expectations. Our members love our new site and my staff is amazed at how easy it is to navigate, upload new material and make changes quickly. New Boston delivered!”

Doug Anstaett, Executive Director, Kansas Press Association
